Interested in developing mutual partnership with SEAFAST Center?
Generally, mutual partnership between SEAFAST Center and other parties is developed through general model ( see Flow Chart ), as the following:
Initial Consultation: The Center recognizes the importance of working with our client to clearly define the requirements and identify cost-effective and technically viable solutions.
Proposal: Once an agreement has been reached on the overall definition of the project, the center will assign its staffs to prepare a proposal; and submitted to our client for review. This proposal will clearly define the scope of work, methodology, project management, project cost, time and payment schedules, and deliverables.
Contract: Work on mutual partnership project will begin when we have entered into a contract with our client. A designated project leader will keep our client informed of the work in progress to ensure that the project is implemented and completed to your satisfaction.
Risk Management: most of our mutual partnerships are research and development (R&D) type of works. Work on R&D has a high degree of inherent risk, and often there is no assurance of complete success at the beginning of a project. SEAFAST Center deal with this situation by building specific check-points and reviews into our work plan. Joint client-project manager reviews of results are held to ensure our client project objectives are being met, or to discuss changes in direction, if necessary.
